Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil ‘Earn and Learn Scheme’
- This scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students coming from the rural areas, who are economically backward, intelligent and meritorious but cannot afford higher education.
- It inculcates work culture in the students with the right aptitude.
- This scheme is flexible to give work to those who demand it. This is a vision of keeping our youth gainfully employed as well as to contribute for society.
- This will make higher education accessible and available to the poor, meritorious and the marginalized students.
Nature of work
- Technical work
Knowledge of computers, potting, repotting training, pruning etc. or even working in library, Gymnasium etc. - Field work
Work in the garden,, rose garden, vermi compost unit, newly planted trees, play grounds, cleanliness of the campus etc. Each student is expected to work for one or two hours daily.
- Students working under this scheme are paid an honorarium of Rs.45 per hour as per the revised rates effective from 1st Feb.2017.
- Payment is made as per the attendance sheet, which is to be maintained by the college.
- The students are requested to open a bank account to make payments.
- At the end of the year the college is to submit annual reports and accounts for the scheme at the time of central audit.
