Divyang Cell:
It is a specialized support system created to help students who are differently abled (Divyang) by making sure their emotional, academic, and physical requirements are satisfied. It aims to establish a welcoming and easily accessible classroom where students with disabilities can pursue their studies without hindrance.
Aim:
- To establish an environment that is accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities, guaranteeing their full participation and equal possibilities.
Objectives:
- To increase knowledge of the needs and rights of people with disabilities.
- To guarantee that learning materials and campus facilities are accessible.
- To offer assistance, guidance, and assistive technology.
- To encourage inclusivity and stop discrimination.
Mechanism & Functions:
- A convener-led committee of staff, faculty, and students.
- Campaigns, lectures, and workshops are organized to raise awareness.
- Academic support and easily accessible infrastructure are offered.
- Regular monitoring and a confidential grievance system are adhered to.
- Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
